   I had my wages garnished once when a former landlord lied about my having not made payments. I had my wages garnished again … twice … because I haven’t had gas to go to court and fight the cases! I am very embarassed about it, but with gas $4 a gallon, and living and working in one county, then court in yet ANOTHER county, I can’t make payment arrangements that I can keep. The garnishments that I’ve had have been unavoidable. I haven’t had the money that it takes to fight them… or the money that it took to pay the bills. I have a $1600 per year deductible for medical insurance, a $300 per month premium, and am supposed to feed four children, and buy an entire tank of gas every other day … on less than $2900 GROSS per month!
