Poor Ohioans Are Having Trouble Affording Food.

The NPR website has an article about two women, a 40-year old mother and her 19-year old daughter.  The Nunezes are unemployed and receive government assistance like food stamps and subsidized housing.  They rely on their monthly $367 Social Security check and food stamps worth $102.  The mother has never worked outside the home all her life, and it seems like the 19-year old cannot find a stable job.  With no car, their options are very limited.  See their budget here.
